Transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric carbon-carbon bond-forming reactions are essential in modern organic synthesis. Chiral spiro monodentate and bidentate phosphorous ligands have been successfully used in various asymmetric carbon-carbon bond-forming reactions. In addition, to meet the growing demands for green chemistry, the lab is working to develop new catalytic transformations that convert raw materials into valuable products in an atom-economical manner.
